Double Happiness Jewelry is one of the less known, but more popular of the many jewelry products carried by our store. This simply proves that the best and most popular products are not always those you see advertised in all the magazines or on television. Sometimes they’re a product still climbing the ladder to national renown.
That certainly describes our Double Happiness line. I call it my BoHo line—short for Bohemian, and referring to the earthy, natural look of the line that has helped make it so popular. People who find my Double Happiness collection often fall in love with it instantly. I admit—I’m one of them!
The Double Happiness jewelry collection was created by two sisters, Stephanie Wells and Alisa Rottenberg. They came up with the name “Double Happiness” from a Chinese symbol that describes a type of karmic chain reaction. It also represents the two sisters who started the line.
Working out of a garage, the sisters built a collection of hand-created, custom designed jewelry and accessory pieces, many of them inspired by Stephanie’s travels abroad, aesthetics from the past, and observations of the world around her.
You’ll see these pieces on such stars as Oprah Winfrey, Jessica Simpson, Diane Lane, Alicia Keys, Marcia Cross, Jewel and others. Oprah, for example, frequently talks about her Lourdis Gold and Brass Earrings, which are part of our collection (subject to previous sale, so hurry in to see those we have in stock!).
Some of the stones in this collection carry an usual history with them, having been excavated from ruins dating back to the Roman Empire. They include turquoise, frosted glass, garnet, red pearl, lapis and more.
